The Tallapoosa City Council voted last night to have Halloween Trick-or-Treating in the City on Saturday, October 30, instead of Sunday, October 31.

The City of Tallapoosa will hold a General/Special Election on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 to elect a Mayor and Council Members for Post 1, Post 2 and Post 3.

A special election shall be held in Tallapoosa to fill the vacancy in the office of City Council Post #3, caused by the resignation of Jacqueline Roberts to allow her to qualify for the Position of Mayor. Qualifying for this position will begin on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 and continue through Friday, September 10, 2021.
