The City of Tallapoosa Governing Authority does hereby announce that the millage rate will be set at a meeting to be held at the Tallapoosa City Hall on September 12, 2022 at 6:00 P.M.

The Mayor and Council of the City of Tallapoosa will meet for a Special Called Meeting on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 5:00 pm at City Hall to vote on 2023 budget, millage rate (tentative) and uncollectible accounts.

The City of Tallapoosa Council voted in favor of purchasing a building located at 2040 US Highway 78, a building that will become home to the Tallapoosa Police Department headquarters.

Registration begins Tuesday July 5th and ends Friday August 5th.

SAVANNAH – The late Tallapoosa Mayor William “Pete” Bridges was one of four outstanding local government leaders inducted into the Georgia Municipal Hall of Fame on Monday at the Georgia Municipal Association’s (GMA) Annual Convention in Savannah.

The Mayor & Council will meet for a Work Session on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 5:30 pm at City Hall with a consultant to discuss possible downtown revitalization efforts.
