A special election shall be held in Tallapoosa to fill the vacancy in the office of City Council Post #3, caused by the resignation of Jacqueline Roberts to allow her to qualify for the Position of Mayor. Qualifying for this position will begin on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 and continue through Friday, September 10, 2021.

The City of Tallapoosa Governing Authority does hereby announce that the millage rate will be set at a meeting to be held at the Tallapoosa City Hall on August 30, 2021 at 5:00 P.M. – Pursuant to the requirements of O.C.G.A. Section 48-5-32 does hereby publish the current year’s tax digest and levy, along with the history of the tax digest and levy for the past five years.

The Mayor Pro Tem and council of the City of Tallapoosa will meet for a special called meeting on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 5:00 P.M. at City Hall.

The City will hold a General Election on November 2, 2021 to elect a Mayor and Council Members for Post 1 and Post 2. Qualifying for these positions will begin on Monday, August 16, 2021 and continue through Friday, August 20.
