The City of Tallapoosa will hold a General Election on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 to elect a Mayor and Council Members for Post 1 and Post 2.

COUNCIL POST #2 (INCUMBENT JACQUELINE ROBERTS)Qualifying for these positions will begin on Monday, August 18, 2025 and continue through Friday, August 22, 2025 between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM each day at Tallapoosa City Hall. The qualifying fee for Mayor is $144.00 and the qualifying fee for each Council Member Post is $108.00.
NO PERSON SHALL BE QUALIFIED OR ELIGIBLE TO SEEK ELECTION AS MAYOR OR COUNCIL MEMBER UNLESS HE OR SHE IS AT LEAST TWENTY-ONE (21) YEARS OF AGE, SHALL HAVE RESIDED IN THE CITY CONTINUOUSLY FOR ONE (1) YEAR IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE ELECTION, AND SHALL BE REGISTERED AND QUALIFIED TO VOTE IN THE MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS FOR OFFICES IN THE CITY OF TALLAPOOSA.
The last day to register to vote or change of address for this election is Monday, October 6, 2025.
Voting on Election Day will be held in conjunction with the Haralson County Election at the Tallapoosa Senior building at 160 Windom Street. Polls will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM.
