Building Permits

The City of Tallapoosa requires building permits to be applied for and approved before construction requiring a permit may begin. If construction begins before the appropriate permits are approved, then a fee in accordance with the Tallapoosa Code of Ordinances Sec. 106-209 (d) may be enforced. If you have any questions about building permits or what requires a permit, please contact City Hall at (770) 574-2345 or visit the Tallapoosa Code of Ordinances Sec. 18-5.

April Council Meeting Rescheduled

Due to scheduling conflicts, the April regular scheduled work session and meeting of the Mayor and Council of the City of Tallapoosa scheduled for Monday, April 13, 2026, has been changed.

The NEW meeting date is now Monday, April 6, 2026, Work Session at 5:30 pm and Regular Meeting 6:00 pm. Meeting will be held at City Hall, 25 E Alabama Street, Tallapoosa, GA
