Citywide Cleanup
Saturday, May 7, 2022 | 8:00 am – 12:00 noon
The Citywide Clean-up is a litter pick-up event hosted by the City of Tallapoosa. We encourage residents to plant trees, shrubs, and flowers to beautify our communities while others can join us in picking up roadside litter to clean our city streets. The Keep Haralson Beautiful and Keep Carroll Beautiful organizations will provide volunteers with tools like gloves, bags, and litter grabbers for volunteers to use during the event. Mayor Brett Jones and the City of Tallapoosa council members are leading by example. “Our goal is to raise the quality of life throughout the city by leading by example,” said Mayor Jones. Anyone interested in volunteering for the cleanup can sign up below.
Two Ways to Participate
Volunteer (8 am to 12:00 noon): Volunteer as an individual or group to pick up litter and remove weeds on the roadside, parks, and public areas. Trash bags, pickers, gloves, and vests are provided to volunteers.
Clean Your Home/Yard (all day): Community pride starts at home: clean out the garage, organize the home, spruce up the yard, paint the fence, clean the gutters, help your elderly or disabled neighbor… the sky’s the limit. Trash pickup will be on your regular pick-up day.
